THE WAIT IS OVER: THE DANCE STARTS

LA ESPERA TERMINÓ: EMPIEZA EL BAILE

This Thursday at sunset, precisely at 6.30PM, the 8º City Dance Championship will officially start. It is a great tango dance contest held in Buenos Aires. The first Qualifying Round, which will last until Sunday the 16th, will be held at milonga El Arranque, Bartolome Mitre 1759 (San Nicolas neighbourhood). It is important to acknowledge that registration is very simple: it can be made at every ballroom on the very same day and time of the competition, only being necessary to show an ID. On Friday, the rounds will continue at 11PM at La Milonguita, , Jorge Newbery 2818 (Colegiales) and from midnight at Sin Rumbo, José Tamborini 6157 (Villa Urquiza).

The place chosen to begin the championship has one of the most comfortable and cozy atmospheres of the city. The Milonga El Arranque started operating in the year 2000. Its heated space of almost one thousand square meters allows dancers to move freely and can hold up to 700 people. It has a nice warm ambiance, a bar that offers drinks and appetizers, and above all respect and really good manners.
